  • 3/4 cup maida (all purpose flour)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup +1tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp red food color
  • A pinch of yellow food color
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 baking soda, A pinch salt
  • 1/2 tsp vinegar
  • 1/2 cup warm milk

For frosting

  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup non dairy cream
  • 4 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Consider these steps for this recipe:-

  • Add vinegar in luke warm milk and keep aside.
  • Add baking powder, baking soda, salt, cocoa powder in all purpose flour and mix well.
  • Mix sugar and butter and beat it for 3-4 times.
  • Add all dry ingredients which were mixed in the bowl.
  • Add a red food color yellow food color, vanilla essence in luke warm milk and vinegar mixture.
  • Mix with other ingredients.
  • Gently mix and if required add 1-2 tbsp milk more.
  • pour this batter in a greased and lined cake mould.
  • Flatter it with a spatula add tap it also.
  • Bake in  a preheated over for 25 minutes on 180 degree celcius.
  • Take out and check it with a tooth pick.
  • Look!! the vibrant red color after these steps.
  • Add cream cheese in a bowl and whip it.
  • Add vanilla essence and 2 tbsp powered sugar and mix it again.
  • In a big glass bowl add non dairy whipping cream and whip till soft peaks.
  • Add cream cheese in whipping cream fold whip for 3-4 minutes more.
  • Add water in remaining sugar and prepare soaking syrup.
  • When you will prepare two heart shape sponge cakes.
  • Trim the cake top with a sharp knife.
  • Collect in a plate and make crumbs from the left over sponge.
  • Next step on a cake board apply cream and place a cake sponge soak with soaking syrup.
  • Apply cream cheese frosting spread evenly.
  • Place another cake sponge on it.
  • Soak it also with soaking syrup.
  • Cover the cake with cream cheese frosting.
  • Clean the edges of a cake with a tissue paper and keep in fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Place a star nozzle in icing bag and fill with cream cheese frositing.
  • Make rosettes on the border of the cake.
  • Cover the mid part of the cake and sides with cake sponge crumbs.
  • Make border with cream cheese frosting.
